Our Pupils perform at Sutton's KS2 Instrumental Festival

Some of our talented pupils performed at the Fairfield Halls recently - you can read about this exciting event below courtesy of 'Sutton Voice'

Mayor joins musical celebration performed by primary schools (report by 'Sutton Voice' 21.6.16)

'On Thursday 16 June, Sutton Music Service brought together 600 of Sutton's youngest musicians at Fairfield Halls, Croydon for their KS2 Instrumental Festival.  This annual celebration of the London Borough of Sutton's highly successful First Access programme saw children from 17 different primary schools, that participate in Whole Class Ensemble Tuition, perform to a sell-out crowd of over 1200.  This year was particularly poignant, as this was one of the last concerns to take place at Fairfield Halls before it closes in a few weeks.

The event featured performances on string, woodwind and brass instruments, as well as Indian Dhol and Brazilian Samba, led by Sutton Music Hub partner organisation, Inspire Works.  The younger musicians were also entertained and inspired by older students from Sutton Youth Brass Band.  The evening was brought to a fitting climax as all the performers came together to raise the roof with a vocal finale of 'True Colours' by Cyndi Lauper.

Children from Abbey Primary, Barrow Hedges Primary, Brookfield Primary, Cheam Common Junior, Cheam Park Farm Junior, Dorchester Primary, St Elphege's Catholic Primary, Hackbridge Primary, Harris Junior Academy Carshalton, High View Primary, Holy Trinity CofE Junior, Manor Park Primary, St Mary's Catholic Junior, Muschamp Primary, Robin Hood Junior, Stanley Park Junior and Westbourne Primary all performed in the concert.

Recently appointed Mayor of Sutton, Cllr Richard Clifton, who attended the concert with the Mayoress, Mrs Gloria Clifton, commented "It was a really impressive, remarkable event.   I do not think I have ever seen so many trumpets on display at a single concert!  The standard was impressive, the enthusiasm awe-inspiring, and the organisation brilliant".'

New School Uniform Supplier

Dear Parents and Carers,

Change to Uniform Supplier

As a school, we constantly review what we do and if we think there is a better way then we will always explore other avenues.  We know from speaking with other schools that many now offer the opportunity for parents to purchase uniform online.  We wanted to be able to offer this service to our parents and have spent some time looking at different suppliers who could offer us this.  We are really pleased to be able to let you know that from 8th June2016 our uniform supplier is Schoolwear  Inc.

Schoolwear Inc.  is a local family run business that provides school uniforms at affordable prices to the schools in our community. They have over 25 years of experience in the retail sector and have been working with various schools for over 15 years.

Orders can be placed:

  1. Online via our school website and collected from the school office http://www.hackbridgeprimary.sutton.sch.uk
  2. Direct from their storeroom -  38b Central Road Worcester Park, Surrey KT4 8HY
  3. On their next visit to the school - generally at the end of the school day (dates and times to be confirmed)

Please note, when collecting from the school office payments must be made in advance to Schoolwear Inc. and not to the school.

Items are generally delivered the next working day.

We are offering you more choice and the opportunity to purchase additional items with the school logo including a PE T shirt and white polo shirt.

The wearing of school uniform embraces a sense of belonging and encourages children to take a sense of pride in themselves and their school. We appreciate parents’ support with their children wearing the correct school uniform every day.

Yours sincerely

Emma Walford

Headteacher
