Moped Incident - Please Read
This morning an incident was reported to us that, yesterday evening at about 5.15pm, mopeds mounted the pavement in London Road near the bus stop opposite the café. The mopeds drove at high speed past the bus stop and down towards Sainsbury’s. They narrowly missed pedestrians at the bus stop and further down the road near Sainsbury’s where they continued to ride on the pavements. They were followed by another moped a few minutes later. The police have been informed.
The police have said that this is often done in order to snatch belongings from pedestrians.
If anyone witnesses riders of mopeds acting in such a dangerous way, the police have asked that you please call 999 and inform them immediately.
Please be vigilant when out and about and also remind your child / children that some people choose not to act in a safe way on public roads and pavements so we all need to take care. We have spoken to Year 5 and Year 6 children about this as they are more likely to be out on their own.
Our Year 6 pupils have made lots of poppies to create our mini version of the Tower of London display in honour of Remembrance Day.

Tag Rugby Mega-Fest - by Y5 Student Reporter
At the Tag Rugby Mega-Fest we played two tag rugby fixtures against other schools.
We won the first match 3-1 and lost the second match 2-1. In the first game, Finley scored 2 tries and Harry scored 1 try. In the second game, Finley scored 1 try and I scored 1 try. When I scored my try I felt amazing.
Freddie, Finley, Dylan, Anthony, James, Tiana, Harry, Evan, Myself, Mr Hull and Mr Jasper went to the Tag Rugby Mega-Fest.
We all left school at 9:00 AM and came back to school at 2:15 PM.
We played a lot of different games and activities like Bulldog and Rounder’s. I was chosen to be Team Captain and I thoroughly loved the whole day out, even though I missed some learning back at school which made me a bit upset!
